Handmade in The Hunter Markets

One of the neat things about living in The Hunter Valley is that lots of people come from Sydney (and around Australia) to tour the vineyards and have a relaxing time at our award-winning resorts, hotels and B&Bs.

There’s a fantastic Saturday market held in Pokolbin – right in the heart of the winery district – and Millfield Velo are very proud to be a part of it.

Handmade in The Hunter Markets is a unique event, where local makers of handmade goods come together to sell their products and spread the benefits of small, home-made trades and crafts. You’ll discover the variety and quality of goods grown, made and crafted by Hunter Valley artisans.

The Market is open on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month, plus selected public holidays and long weekends. MV are there on the 2nd Saturday of every month.

The Markets are held in the gardens of Kevin Sobels WinesCnr of Broke Rd and Halls Rd, Pokolbin.

It’s open Saturdays from 9 – 3  (weather permitting, with updates and cancellations posted on facebook), and some Sundays 9 – 2. Please see the current calendar for Sunday dates on the facebook page here.

We normally show two bikes at the Markets, and roll the dice each month to decide which ones to take. If there’s a bike in the Showroom or Museum that you want to see, then contact us and we’ll have it on site for your visit.

Unfortunately, we can’t do test rides at the Markets – it’s always busy and there just isn’t time. The MV HQ is only 15 minutes away though, so enjoy the markets, have a coffee and cake, and we’ll see you at the HQ for test rides after the market is closed.

Our upcoming dates are: May 11th, June 8th, July 13th. See you at the Markets!
