The first Millfield Special is now complete.
Built by Kerry Hopkins from Reynolds 531 Competition tubing, this is a mid-90s lightweight racing frameset, weighing in at only 2.4kg. It was refreshed in 2018 with new cable guides.
Painted in aqua & orange baked enamel, the bike carries custom Millfield decals.
The bike features a Campagnolo Veloce 20-speed drivetrain, with a custom-painted Veloce crankset.
Many of the original components have been colour-matched to the frame. Finished in hardwearing baked enamel, these will give you a lifetime of easy cleaning without fade.
The brakeset is Campagnolo Record dual-pivot.
This complete bike weighs under 10kg. It’s a 56cm frame, so will suit a rider from 170cm – 190cm.
Depending on your requirements, the bike can be upgraded to any 20-speed Campagnolo groupset, such as Athena, Chorus or Record.
The bike was sold in 2019 from our new store in Cessnock, and re-sold again in 2024 to a new owner in Sydney who we met at the 2024 Retro Day.
